Mary will jump-start your creative engine with painting techniques such as threading, layering, underpainting, rsists, and staining. She promote experimentation with a variety of materials and techniques to broaden the range of outcomes, promoting clear expression of ideas. Students will learn to identify and strengthen their personal and unique painting styles by choosing the most meaningful design formats. Beam will demonstrate daily and will engage the class in a lively discussion of alternative strategies for achieving a variety of outcomes. At week's end, each student will present a portfolio of paintings to the class for sharing and evaluation.
